Carlo Michel is a vocalist, performer, songwriter, producer, and music educator based in Cleveland, Ohio. Originally from Mexico City, his career spans performance, music education, songwriting, composition for film and media, and music production, with more than 23 years of professional experience creating meaningful musical experiences across the stage, studio, and classroom.
A versatile singer and multi-instrumentalist, Carlo's artistic work bridges contemporary music and experimental sound, combining technical precision with emotional authenticity. His performances draw from a broad musical spectrum that includes Rock and Roll, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Pop, Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, and Latin influences, often incorporating guitar, live looping, beatbox, and immersive sound design. Whether performing with a full band, as a solo artist, or in collaborative projects, he approaches music as a vehicle for storytelling, exploration, and human connection.
In May 2026, Carlo was selected as an Artist in Residence at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where he is developing Ether, Fire, Future, a multidisciplinary artistic project exploring musical identity through ancestral soundscapes, the foundations of Rock and Roll, and contemporary electronic influences. The residency reflects his commitment to artistic innovation, cultural dialogue, and community engagement, using immersive performance to connect the past, present, and future of music.
Carlo currently performs as a vocalist with Moss Stanley's Nitebridge, a Cleveland-based Motown tribute and dance band, while continuing to develop and perform his own original music. As an independent artist, he has released original music across digital platforms and continues to explore the creative intersections of traditional musicianship, emerging technologies, and immersive performance.

As an educator, Carlo has dedicated more than 16 years to teaching singers and musicians of all ages and experience levels. His student-centered approach combines contemporary vocal science with practical musicianship, helping performers develop healthy, expressive, and sustainable techniques while building confidence in their artistic identity. Beyond voice, he teaches guitar, piano, songwriting, music theory, ear training, and music production.
He currently serves as an Advanced Voice Teacher at Musicologie in Cleveland and works with students internationally through his private studio, CM Vocal Coaching, as well as other educational platforms. Throughout his career, he has also worked as a vocal director and coach for a wide range of artistic projects, helping performers refine their vocal style and artistic expression both on stage and in the recording studio.

Carlo earned his Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Fermatta Music Academy in Mexico City, graduating Summa Cum Laude on a full academic scholarship. He became the first student in the institution's history to receive this distinction.
He also completed the prestigious Songwriting Workshop of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM) on a high-performance scholarship and furthered his studies in music production, mixing, and mastering at the National School of Music Production in Mexico.
A lifelong learner, Carlo has complemented his formal education through specialized studies with voice professionals, medical specialists, and internationally recognized artists, producers, engineers, and songwriters. His mentors and educational experiences include acclaimed figures such as Steve Lukather, Jeff Berlin, Chad Smith, Stanley Jordan, Glenn Hughes, Eddie Kramer, Meshell Ndegeocello, Armando Manzanero, Mario Domm, Erika Ender, Mónica Vélez, and many others, enriching both his artistic practice and educational philosophy.

As a songwriter, producer, and composer, Carlo's work extends beyond the concert stage. His music has contributed to films, documentaries, and national television productions in Mexico, and he has collaborated on projects spanning multiple genres and media formats. He is also the co-founder of Nebulas Music, an independent record label dedicated to supporting original artistic work, collaboration, and musical innovation
